- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This is a wonderful piece of history. Too bad the government cutbacks closed it to the public. On the plus side, if you do go, make sure you knock on the door. Woodside is used as a local office for Parks Canada. If there is anyone working, They probably will let you in. The person working there is the former curator for the Woodside National Historic Site and knows everything there is to know about Woodside. well worth it!By Brian Jack, November 18, 2016
